Light for the women in our lives

A Mother's Day reflection on the women who show up for us.

When I was in the hospital during my pregnancy complications, I didn’t know if my daughter and I would be okay.

I remember thinking about her. About what kind of mother I wanted to be. About the women who had shown up for me throughout my life and loved me through it all.

I’m especially feeling grateful for the women in my life who have been that light for me.

Glow Together was built from that place.

It was built to honor the moments that shape us.  The ones that scare us.  The ones that change us.  The ones that quietly define who we become.

This Mother’s Day, I’m thinking about all the women who have been that light for someone.

The mothers, yes.  But also the friends, the grandmothers, the chosen family.

And the women carrying something this year, a loss, an absence, a first Mother’s Day without someone, or a first Mother’s Day as someone.
